Gayang Park has two parts- UamSajeok Park, and Central Square, with dense forest, a water fountain, natural water springs, a tower, and Birae-jeong (pavilion).

Gyejoksan Park in Daejeon perched on a mountain, has a Buddhist temple, an observatory, Daecheongho (lake), mounded tomb, temple ruins and Gyejoksanseong or the mountain fortress wall.

Gwangro Park, was built as a resting place for the locals in downtown Yuseong and it spreads across four acres offering drinking fountains, benches, a pagoda and natural stones.

Galma Park in Daejeon offers you a soccer field, a basketball court, badminton courts, a gateball court, a water fountain, an observatory, and rest areas. Even cafeteria, a sports store, and an office are there in this park.

Daejeon Festivals & Events

The fifth largest city of South Korea, Daejeon boasts of rich history and culture. It is also major point of traffic divergence. Apart from the major places of interest, Daejeon Festivals and Events are huge draws for locals and visitors alike. The major festivals and events in Daejeon are Hanbat Cultural Festival, Sci. The Hanbat Cultural Festival is a provincial art event which is held all over Daejeon every October. The festival disseminates the message of harmony with everyone coming together in watching, listening, and indulging in unrestrained merrymaking. 38 events during the 10 day festival focuses on the concept of community feeling.

The Sci. Festival offers a variety of events for tourists and visitors to awaken curiosity amongst visitors. Fantastic scientific displays are exhibited with the major objective being to increase scientific awareness.

The Yuseong Bio and Beauty Festival features the Delivery of Hot spring water, an exorcism for meeting water, a public performance of vocal ensemble group from a research complex and narrative dance drama of hot spring followed by other events for the Science Day.

Dongchundang Cultural Festival concentrates on enhancing community feeling between locals through literary writing contest and swinging. The aim of this festival is to revive respect. The major feature of the festival is to revive self-respect for one's roots, in turn glorifying traditional culture.

Uam Cultural Festival in Daejeon is celebrated to commemorate the works of Song Si-yeol, the greatest scholar of the Daejeon region.

Euneungjeongi Festival is observed on a large-scale in the Jung-gu (district) and other districts of Daejeon.

The two other festivals and events in the city are International Balloon Fiesta and Sintanjin Cherry Blossom Festival.
